Apple Stock News: MacBook Pro

Apple Stock News: Mark Gurman stated on his podcast that Apple will introduce the first-ever touchscreen MacBook Pro models with OLED displays in October or November this year. These will be the new 14-inch and 16-inch versions. Apple is testing these laptops with the macOS 27.2 beta, which is expected to be released by the end of October. Besides the touch-enabled OLED screen, the devices will feature M5 Pro and M5 Max chips, a thinner design, and a Dynamic Island instead of a notch.
Some fans hope the new models will be equipped with Apple’s custom-designed C1X or C2 5G modem. The touchscreen versions are expected to be positioned above the regular MacBook Pro line. It remains unclear whether they will retain the MacBook Pro branding or receive a new name, such as MacBook Ultra.
iPhone 18

In three days, 12% more iPhone 18 Pro units were sold in China than iPhone 17 Pro units during its entire first week last year. This gave Apple a 33% share of the country’s smartphone market for the week of September 14 to 20. Prospects will improve further on October 23 with the launch of the iPhone Duo, as demand for foldable devices is high in China.
HomePod

Apple plans to update the larger HomePod, confirming the company’s commitment to the product. On October 13, Apple will announce a new HomePod mini, Apple TV 4K, and a smart home hub, but the full-sized speaker will be released at a later date. Its key feature will be support for a more intelligent Siri AI, which will require a faster chip. Other likely upgrades include improved audio quality, new color options, and Apple’s custom-designed N1 chip with Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6 support. In June, Apple raised the price of the current model in the U.S. to $349, returning it to the original cost of the first generation launched in 2018.
