Apple Stock News: Trade Secrets Suit

Apple Stock News: Apple has urged a federal judge to reject OpenAI’s motion to dismiss the trade secrets lawsuit, accusing the company of distorting facts. The lawsuit was filed over an alleged scheme to extract confidential information from more than 400 former Apple employees. In its opposition brief, the company alleges that former engineer Chang Liu downloaded dozens of secret files after his departure, while hardware chief Tan Yew Tan used internal project codenames during candidate interviews and asked one employee to bring components for a “show and tell” session.
Apple cites the Ninth Circuit’s 2025 Quintara decision, which states that detailed descriptions of secrets do not need to be published in a public complaint. Furthermore, the plaintiff argues that the court should rely solely on the text of the complaint, whereas OpenAI attached extraneous materials such as text messages and an interview guide. Finally, the presence of two competing versions of events confirms the need to proceed to discovery rather than dismissing the case.
Widget Gallery

Apple is developing a home hub with Siri AI support that could be released as early as this year. The device will feature a Widget Gallery similar to the one used on iPhone and Mac: code from macOS Tahoe 26.7 named PosterKit-J490 indicates support for third-party widgets, Smart Stack, and data synchronization with a linked iPhone.
To protect privacy, widget content will only be available when the primary phone is at home. The hub will not have its own App Store but will support Apple’s apps, as well as HomeKit scenes and automation. The device features a seven-inch square display and can be placed on a stand or mounted on a wall.
Ceramic Apple Watch

Apple plans to bring back the ceramic case for the Apple Watch Series 12, according to leaker Kosutami. The company first introduced this material with the Series 2 in 2016, then used it for the Series 3 and Series 5 (alongside titanium), but discontinued it entirely after the launch of the Series 6 in 2020. Since then, the white color made from compressed zirconia has become one of the most sought-after options on the secondary market.
Earlier this month, Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman reported that the option might return either this year or in 2027. According to Kosutami’s latest information, it will indeed arrive with the Series 12. The new watches are expected to feature an improved chip and will be announced next month alongside the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, the first foldable iPhone, and the Apple Watch Ultra 4.
