Apple Stock News: Upcoming Accessories in 2024

Apple Stock News: Apple accessory company Native Union recently revealed several upcoming accessories set to launch this year. The Voyage 2-in-1 is a Qi2 wireless charger supporting the latest standard, capable of charging an iPhone at 15W and featuring a foldable design with a base for iPhone and a second base with an Apple Watch charging puck. The (Re)Classic Power Bank, with a 5,000mAh battery, magnetically connects to MagSafe-enabled iPhones for on-the-go charging. Additionally, new desktop accessories include the Desk Mat with a textured surface and the Desk Laptop Stand, elevating laptops or tablets up to 60cm. The Slim Charger, a 67W USB-C adapter, and the Pocket Cable, a fold-up USB-C cable inspired by the Swiss Army Knife, are also part of the lineup, with release dates staggered throughout the year.

AirTag 2 to Launch

Apple launched its AirTag item tracker in April 2021, and since then, there have been rumors about a second-generation model. Analysts Ming-Chi Kuo and Mark Gurman suggest a potential release in 2025, with Kuo mentioning a production delay in 2023. Kuo speculates on integration with Apple’s Vision Pro headset, while Gurman anticipates an upgraded wireless chip, possibly the second-gen Ultra Wideband chip for improved tracking accuracy. No design or price changes have been rumored yet.

HomePod Mini in Malaysia

Apple has gained approval to sell the HomePod mini in Malaysia, as revealed in a local regulatory filing. The specific availability date is unclear, but sales are expected to commence on Apple’s online store in the coming months. Approval for the full-size second-generation HomePod in Malaysia is still pending. The HomePod mini, introduced in October 2020 in the U.S., is now available in approximately 25 countries. New color options were introduced in November 2021, and the temperature and humidity sensor was activated last year. Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo anticipates mass shipments of a second-generation HomePod mini to begin in the second half of 2024.
