Sources speaking with Recode, expect the latest Apple rumor to come to fruition. The rumor is that Apple will launch its own version of a person-to-person Venmo-like payment system. The service is rumored to allow iPhone users to pay friends and family using Apple’s ecosystem. This will be another big step for Apple in their services sector, competing against the likes of Venmo, who processed a record $6.8 billion in the first quarter of 2017.

Recode also reports that Apple is in talks with Visa. The rumor states that Apple is looking to create their own pre-paid debit cards that would run on the Visa debit network. The cards have the potential to be added to Apple’s digital pay wallet, with people having the ability to use to cards with money sent to them through the service.
