Apple Stock News: C2 Modem

Apple Stock News: In the US, the iPhone 18 Pro supports mmWave 5G (bands n258, n260, and n261) as well as sub-6GHz with 4×4 MIMO, while in the UK only sub-6GHz is available. All new devices feature the N1 chip for Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, and Thread support. The standard models received the proprietary C2 modem; however, the iPhone 18 Pro Max version did not get it and remains on Qualcomm solutions.
The base iPhone 18 Pro starts at $1,199, and the Pro Max model starts at $1,299; both smartphones are available in burgundy, glacier, silver, and black. The foldable iPhone Duo comes in Star White and Night Sky colors starting at $1,999. All three models come with storage options from 256 GB to 2 TB: pre-orders for the smartphones begin on September 12, and for the iPhone Duo on October 16, with availability beginning October 23.
Apple Watch Series 12

The Apple Watch Series 12 features a wider case but a smaller display area compared to the Series 10 and Series 11. With the pixel resolution remaining unchanged, the screen size decreased by 2% (from 1,220 sq mm to 1,196 sq mm) for the 46mm model and by 1.9% (from 989 sq mm to 970 sq mm) for the 42mm model. Meanwhile, the case grew approximately 2.6–2.8%, while its thickness remained at 9.7 mm. Due to the shrinking display and expanding body, the bezels around the screen have become more noticeable, although Apple has visually smoothed the transition from metal to glass.
A similar scenario occurred during the shift from the ninth to the tenth generation, when the visible aluminum edge shrank by one-third while the total rim width increased by 17%. Unlike that redesign, the Series 10, 11, and 12 share a similar case design; the new model starts at $399 with sales beginning on September 18.
Pre-Order

Apple has opened pre-orders for the iPhone 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max in over 65 countries via its online store, Apple Store app, and retailers. The smartphones feature the A20 Pro chip, a variable aperture camera, improved cooling, and are available in Silver, Black, Glacier, and Burgundy colors starting at $1,199 (Pro) and $1,299 (Pro Max). As the budget model is unavailable and the foldable iPhone Duo will not launch until October 23, demand may be high. Those who place an order today will begin receiving their devices on September 18.
