Apple Stock News: Pre-orders for the iPhone 18 Pro and Apple Watch Series 12/Ultra 4 may open on Saturday, September 12, instead of Friday. According to Macwelt, Apple is reportedly pushing back the date due to the 25th anniversary of the September 11 attacks (similar to the situation with the iPhone 6S in 2015). The pre-order window is expected to start at midnight Pacific Time. The foldable iPhone might become available for pre-order later than other new devices — potentially by late September.

In April–June 2026, the iPhone 17 became the world’s best-selling smartphone, with the Pro and Pro Max models taking second and third place (Counterpoint Research). Apple and Samsung occupied all top-10 spots in the ranking, holding a combined 26% market share.

Growth was driven by India, Japan, the Middle East, Africa, and an almost twofold increase in sales in South Korea. Amid rising smartphone prices, the iPhone 17e took seventh place thanks to MagSafe and increased storage at the same price point, while last year’s iPhone 16 rounded out the top ten. Samsung’s best result was the Galaxy S26 Ultra in fourth place. Despite the overall market contraction of 11%, both companies managed to grow their device sales.
