Apple Stock News: WWDC 2026 kicks off on June 8, and the main focus will be Apple’s “AI advancements.” With iOS 27, a much smarter Siri is expected, featuring personal context, enhanced search capabilities, onscreen awareness, and new ways to interact across apps. Apple is also developing a Siri chatbot to rival ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude, with a possible preview at WWDC. Other AI innovations may also be announced.

Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman criticized Apple’s recent product announcements as incremental, highlighting the AirPods Max 2 as an example. He argued that calling the update “Max 2” is misleading since the headphones only received the H2 chip and minor improvements, without design changes or significant hardware upgrades. Gurman noted that many new products, including the MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, iPad Air, and others, also got only faster chips and minimal updates. However, he acknowledged Apple’s record-breaking sales.

According to sources, Apple’s upcoming foldable iPhone will feature a dual-layer ultra-thin glass structure, making the display crease almost invisible and improving durability. Unlike most current foldables that use a single glass layer, Apple’s solution will isolate the display from the hinge, distributing mechanical stress across multiple layers. The company is also testing composite glass with variable thickness — thinner at the fold for flexibility and thicker elsewhere for rigidity. The device is expected to launch this fall alongside the iPhone 18 Pro, with a 5.3–5.5-inch outer display, a 7.8-inch inner screen, a liquid metal hinge, and a price starting at $2,000.
