Apple Stock News: Device Hits Production

Apple Stock News: Apple has placed production orders for the foldable iPhone, which will be released this year. The device will feature a 7.8-inch inner display with a minimal crease, a 5.5-inch cover display, and a book-style form factor. Thanks to Samsung’s new display, the crease will be almost imperceptible. The new product will be unveiled in September alongside the iPhone 18 Pro.
Tetraprism Lens

Sandmarc has introduced a new 72 mm Tetraprism lens for iPhone, boosting the optical zoom of the iPhone 17 Pro up to 24x. The original iPhone camera provides 4x zoom at an equivalent focal length of 100 mm, and this new lens triples that—offering 12x zoom at full 48 MP resolution or up to 24x when halving the resolution. The multilayer coated glass design enhances sharpness and color accuracy even over long distances. It’s also compatible with iPhone 16 Pro/Max and iPhone 15 Pro Max, providing them with 15x zoom capability. The price of the new lens is set at $299.
Tiny Acquisition

Apple will acquire the only employee of invrs.io, Martin Schubert, along with some company’s assets. This information was released by the European Commission after a four-month waiting period. Schubert founded invrs.io in 2023 to develop AI-driven design solutions focused primarily on optics and photonics technologies for augmented reality, virtual reality, and data centers. His systems might be beneficial for future Apple Vision Pro developments, although it’s currently unknown what specific projects he’ll be working on within Apple. Previously, Schubert worked at Alphabet’s X division and Meta. More details about the project are available on GitHub.
