Apple Stock News: Apple is gearing up for its biggest leadership shakeup in over a decade. Outgoing executive Jeff Williams has transferred his duties, marking the opening for new appointments among top-level executives. Among notable figures is John Giannandrea, who led the company’s AI efforts, including voice assistant Siri, but faced challenges in this area. CEO Tim Cook, turning 65 soon, hasn’t announced a successor yet, but the main contender appears to be John Ternus, head of hardware engineering responsible for creating recent models of iPhones, iPads, and Macs. Ternus has already started attracting public attention by appearing at product presentations and giving interviews. Other executives like Lisa Jackson, head of environmental initiatives, and Johnny Srouji, leader of hardware technologies, are also contemplating career shifts or retirement. Additionally, Apple is exploring outside candidates to bolster its AI strategy, including seasoned executives from Meta.

Apple is working on an updated version of the Vision Pro with a new chip and possibly introducing a Dual Knit Band for increased comfort. According to the backend code discovered by MacRumors, the new band combines the comfort of the Solo Knit Band material with the dual-support structure of the Dual Loop Band. It features an upper band spanning the top of the head and a lower band fitting behind it. The device’s weight of 21.2–22.9 ounces causes discomfort during extended use, so the update aims to alleviate this issue. The Vision Pro refresh is scheduled before the end of 2025 and will feature a faster M5 chip, with no other planned changes to the device.
