Apple Stock News: Next-generation iPad Pro models will feature two front-facing cameras — one for portrait mode and another for landscape mode, allowing users to take pictures and make video calls regardless of the device’s orientation. Current iPad Pros come with a single horizontal-oriented front camera. Face ID already supports all orientations. New versions are expected to start mass production by the second half of 2025, featuring the M5 chip. Potential release date is set for September or October 2025.

Not The First One

Apple secured the sixth position in India’s smartphone market in Q2 2025, shipping 39 million units. The iPhone 16 series accounted for more than 55% of deliveries, appealing to premium segment customers, whereas the budget-friendly iPhone 16e underperformed due to its single-lens camera and unmet AI promises. Chinese brands remain dominant, and Apple’s sales declined amid reduced consumer demand ahead of the holiday season. The company continues expanding local production and exports to decrease reliance on China.

No More Fines

The European Commission is poised to approve Apple’s June updates to the App Store, ensuring compliance with the Digital Markets Act, as reported by Reuters. This move prevents Apple from facing daily penalties. Developers can now guide users to alternative purchasing methods outside the App Store and utilize third-party payment systems within their apps. App Store services have been divided into two pricing tiers: basic (5%) excludes ratings, reviews, marketing tools, etc., while comprehensive (13%) offers complete access to existing App Store functionalities. Additionally, Apple introduced a Core Technology Commission replacing previous installation fees. By January 1, 2026, Apple plans to implement a unified business model capping developer costs at 20%. Previously, Apple faced a €500 million fine for alleged violations of the DMA, though it’s currently contesting both the penalty and anti-steering regulations imposed by the EC.
