Apple Stock News: New iPad Pro models equipped with the M5 chip are expected to be released later this year. Both Samsung Display and LG Display have started mass-producing their OLED panels. Last year, Samsung supplied panels for the 11-inch models, while LG provided them for the 13-inch ones. This year, both companies will split supplies between the two screen sizes. Additionally, there are plans to introduce OLED displays for the iPad mini in 2026 and the iPad Air in 2027. The updates for this year’s model will be minor, primarily featuring the transition to the M5 processor produced using TSMC’s advanced 3-nanometer technology. A possible reorientation of the Apple logo might also occur. The anticipated launch date for these new models is October 2025.
Subsidy Program
Apple has joined China’s state-subsidy program for the first time via its official sales channels, offering discounts on selected iPhones, iPads, Apple Watches, and Macs to eligible customers in Beijing and Shanghai. Residents of Shanghai can avail the discounts by purchasing qualified devices from one of the city’s eight Apple retail stores, whereas Beijing residents can claim the benefit through Apple’s online store, given that delivery is within Beijing. The initiative provides discounts up to 2,000 yuan (~$278), depending on the product category and price. According to market data, Apple experienced a drop in smartphone shipments in mainland China during 2025, marking it as the sole vendor among the nation’s top five smartphone brands to register a decline, unlike competitors like Xiaomi and Huawei who saw significant growth.
All-Screen Design
It is rumored that Apple plans to unveil a redesigned iPhone model in 2027 to celebrate the device’s 20th anniversary. However, a reputable source has raised doubts about whether the model will feature an all-screen design. Previously, it was suggested that the anniversary edition would come with a display free of cutouts and extremely thin bezels. Nevertheless, analyst Ross Young claimed that the first iPhone with Face ID and a front-facing camera integrated beneath the screen won’t arrive until 2030, delaying the introduction of a true all-screen iPhone by another five years. As a result, despite fan anticipation, the 2027 anniversary iPhone may turn out to be less ambitious than initially hoped.
