This advancement promises a 15% increase in performance and a 30% improvement in energy efficiency compared to prior iterations. Analyst Jeff Pu further noted that the A20 chip may adopt TSMC’s innovative WMCM packaging technology, enabling direct integration of memory on the same wafer as the processor, graphics unit, and neural engine. These enhancements are projected to deliver significant improvements in device speed, battery longevity, and heat dissipation. New models are scheduled for release in fall 2026.

Despite successful sales in Europe, the early performance of the iPhone 16e lags significantly behind previous mid-tier Apple models. Launched in February, the phone secured only the ninth spot among bestselling devices in March, accounting for just 8% of Apple’s sales and 2% of the overall smartphone market. New Architecture for Siri
Apple is actively testing various large language models (LLMs) to improve Siri, including a version with 150 billion parameters that approaches the quality of ChatGPT. The company is developing a new architecture for Siri that will replace its hybrid structure. An internal chatbot named “Knowledge,” capable of gathering data from the internet, faces similar issues delaying the update of Siri. It’s unclear when exactly Apple will introduce these technologies, considering the backlash following announcements made last year for features that haven’t yet been released. In the future, the company plans to integrate alternative services such as Google Gemini and Perplexity AI into Siri and Safari.
