Apple Stock News: Change App Store

Apple Stock News: Apple must eliminate EU digital market violations by June 22 or face additional fines. The company was fined €500 million for limiting developers’ ability to inform users about external payment systems and transactions outside the App Store. Despite partial adjustments, the European Commission deemed Apple’s linking system ineffective and creating obstacles for redirecting users to other platforms. The Commission also criticized the retained 27% fee, considering it insufficient compared to the previous 30%. If violations are not corrected on time, Apple risks new penalties depending on the severity of breaches and company revenues. The initial €500 million must be paid by July 23, otherwise interest will start accumulating.

Apple expands its self-service repair program to cover iPad models for the first time. Owners will be able to fix screens, batteries, cameras, and charging ports themselves using genuine Apple parts and tools. The program now supports iPad Air (M2 and newer), iPad Pro (M4), iPad mini (A17 Pro), and iPad (A16). Altogether, the initiative covers 65 Apple devices, including iPhone 16e, MacBook Air, and Mac Studio. This summer, access will become available in Canada—the 34th country offering the program. Additionally, Apple announced expanded distribution of original spare parts for businesses.

Redesign

According to leaked information, Apple plans to introduce significant design changes to the iPhone annually over the next three generations. In 2025, it’s anticipated that the rear panel will undergo updates, featuring a new horizontal camera arrangement. By 2026, focus will shift to the front side: the Dynamic Island will disappear, replaced by a small round hole for the selfie camera, while Face ID sensors will be concealed underneath the display. Finally, by 2027, Apple aims to achieve a seamless full-screen design with no visible cutouts or notches, embedding both Face ID and the front camera under the screen. It’s unclear if these innovations will initially apply exclusively to the Pro line or span across all iPhone models.
