Apple Stock News: Price Hikes

Apple Stock News: Apple plans to utilize TSMC’s 2-nanometer chip manufacturing process in the next generation iPhone 18 models equipped with the new A20 chip. This will deliver substantial enhancements in device performance and energy efficiency, although it will lead to higher costs that the company might pass on to consumers. Previously, Apple transitioned to 3-nm technology in 2023, achieving a 20% boost in graphics processor speed, a 10% improvement in central processor speed, and doubling the neural engine’s speed. It is anticipated that adopting the 2-nm fabrication process will yield even greater benefits, despite requiring significant investments by TSMC and increasing the cost of new iPhone models.
OLED Panels

It’s expected that Apple’s folding iPhone (“iPhone Fold”) will be equipped exclusively with OLED panels from Samsung Display. This choice is explained by Samsung’s technological advantage in minimizing screen creases. The device will feature a 5.5-inch external display and a 7.8-inch internal screen without visible folds. Instead of Face ID, it’s planned to integrate Touch ID into the side button. Shipment volumes haven’t been finalized yet, but it’s anticipated to surpass the originally planned 9 million units and reach over 15 million.
Vision Air

A new virtual reality headset from Apple called “Vision Air” will feature a lightweight design and a dark blue “Midnight” finish, according to source Kosutami. The device will become thinner thanks to the use of titanium in the battery construction and internal components, retaining an aluminum body. The current Vision Pro model is available only in silver color. The new version will also come with an updated connector having eight contacts instead of twelve used in Vision Pro. It’s assumed that “Vision Air” represents a budget version of the second-generation device scheduled for release between autumn 2025 and spring 2026.
