Mass production is anticipated to begin in the fourth quarter of 2026, with a possible launch in 2027.

Sonny Dickson shared an image of a purported case for the iPhone 17 Air, showcasing a horizontal camera layout and an ultra-slim body measuring just 5.5 mm thick. The design draws inspiration from Google’s Pixel series and incorporates features such as MagSafe, an action button, and camera control. The device is expected to come equipped with a 6.6-inch display featuring ProMotion technology, a dynamic island, an A19 chipset, and a 48-megapixel camera. Additionally, it will not include a physical SIM card slot globally.
New Part-Glass Design
Sonny Dickson shared dummy models of the iPhone 17 series, highlighting notable design changes in the Pro models. These include a glass panel under the camera module, potentially part of a half-glass, half-aluminum construction aimed at improving durability while maintaining wireless charging capability. Apple is shifting from titanium to aluminum across the lineup. The dummies confirm an elongated horizontal camera bar for Pro models and iPhone 17 Air, smoother transitions between the camera bump and back cover, and universal MagSafe support. The new design marks a significant visual update, set to debut in September.
