Apple Stock News: iPhone SE 4 Camera Modules
Apple Stock News: LG Innotek, the camera module supplier for the upcoming iPhone SE 4, is scheduled to commence mass production of the components in December, according to a new report from Korea. It’s reported that final testing is already underway, with mass production of the module starting next month. The sub-$500 device is anticipated to be released in March or April 2025 and is expected to feature a design akin to the base iPhone 14, along with specifications like a 6.1-inch OLED display, Face ID, a latest A-series chip, a USB-C port, a single 48-megapixel rear camera, 8GB of RAM to support Apple Intelligence, and Apple’s first in-house 5G modem.
Health Features
Apple supply chain analyst Ming-Chi Kuo announced two new products that Apple plans to release in the coming years: a smart home camera and updated AirPods with enhanced health management features. Mass production of Apple’s smart home camera is slated to start in 2026, while the new AirPods, featuring additional health monitoring features similar to those found in the Apple Watch, are expected to arrive in 2026.
Under Pressure
The European Commission has warned Apple that it may be breaching EU geo-blocking rules with its media service practices, giving the company one month to respond. The Commission claims that users face different interfaces and content depending on their country of registration, making it difficult to switch between countries. This contradicts the EU’s 2018 geo-blocking regulation protecting the unified digital market. Particularly worrisome is the restriction on downloading apps available in other EU countries.
