Apple Stock News: M4 MacBook Air Production to Begin Soon
Apple Stock News: Apple will soon commence production of 13 and 15-inch MacBook Air M4 models, slated for release in early 2025. The design remains unchanged, focusing on the M4 chip. The first Macs equipped with M4, M4 Pro, and M4 Max processors will be unveiled next week. Updates for Mac mini, MacBook Pro, and iMac are also planned. MacBook Air models will receive updates at the beginning of 2025, followed by an update to the Mac Studio.
A version of the Mac Pro featuring the M4 chip is expected later in 2025. Simultaneously with the release of the MacBook Air in early 2025, updates to the iPhone SE, iPad Air, the budget iPad, and a new keyboard for the iPad Air are anticipated. Additionally, a new home device with a small square screen is set to debut in 2025.
iPhone SE 4 Mass Production
Mass production of the fourth generation iPhone SE will begin in December, according to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. The device is expected to feature a design similar to the iPhone 14, with an OLED display, Face ID, a new processor, a USB-C port, a 48 MP camera, 8 GB of RAM, and Apple’s first 5G modem. Launch is expected in the first half of 2025, possibly in March or April. Suppliers plan to produce about 8.6 million units by early 2025. The current iPhone SE was released in March 2022.
Apple May Stop Producing Vision Pro
Apple has cut production of the Vision Pro headset and may halt manufacturing of the current model by the end of 2024 due to low demand. Production reductions started in early summer, and Apple has already stockpiled a sufficient number of devices. Due to lack of content and high pricing, Vision Pro faced weak sales. Suppliers have manufactured components for 500,000 to 600,000 headsets, while some factories ceased production as early as May. Apple warned Luxshare, the manufacturer of Vision Pro, about potential production shutdown in November. Currently, Luxshare produces around 1,000 units daily, half of its peak output. However, Apple can restart production if demand increases. The company has also paused development of the second-generation Vision Pro for a year to focus on creating a more affordable model.
