Apple Stock News: Chip Tech Integrating
Apple Stock News: By 2026, Apple plans to use TSMC’s production process with transistor sizes of 2 nm combined with a new chip packaging method that will increase the amount of RAM to 12 GB. The packaging method called InFo integrates components inside the case, focusing on single-chip solutions where memory is attached to the main SoC. WMCM enables the integration of multiple chips in one package, providing flexibility in arranging various types of chips and optimizing their interaction. All current iPhone 16 models have 8 GB of RAM, and analyst Ming-Chi Kuo anticipates that the upcoming iPhone 17 Pro models will have 12 GB of RAM, which may become the standard for the iPhone 18 series.
Apple Vision
Apple is developing a cheaper version of its spatial computing headset called “Apple Vision,” priced at $2,000, which could come out next year. This new headset would be a lower-priced alternative to the $3,500 Apple Vision Pro, launched earlier this year. Apple hopes to sell at least twice as many units of the cheaper model compared to the Vision Pro, but these numbers aren’t significant.
The Apple Vision would use a less powerful processor and cheaper materials to reduce costs. It might also remove unnecessary features like the EyeSight display showing users’ eyes on the headset’s outer surface. It could also use larger, lower-resolution screens. Apple’s Vision Products Group is focusing on making this cheaper product to address the high price and ergonomic issues of the Vision Pro.
They aim to develop a device with broad market appeal and a strong spatial computing experience.Gurman’s report also states that Apple is creating a second-generation Vision Pro, planned for 2026, with a faster processor and minor hardware updates. Apple is also working on smart glasses alongside the Apple Vision and Apple Vision Pro headsets.
New iPad Mini
Apple introduced significant upgrades to the iPad mini, featuring the A17 Pro chip and support for Apple Intelligence. The compact 8.3-inch tablet boasts increased performance and new features. The A17 Pro chip offers a 30% improvement in CPU and 25% better GPU performance.
It also supports the Apple Pencil Pro with pressure sensitivity, haptics, and gestures. Improvements include Wi-Fi 6E, faster USB-C data transfer, and a 12MP wide camera with Smart HDR 4.Apple Intelligence brings advanced writing tools, image creation, and enhanced task automation using on-device and cloud-based processing.
