Apple Stock News: Fall Launch
Apple Stock News: Apple is testing four new Mac models with M4 chips, set to refresh the MacBook Pro, Mac mini, and iMac, possibly in October. Developer logs reveal three models with a 10-core CPU and GPU, and a fourth with an 8-core CPU and GPU. All have 16GB or 32GB of Unified Memory. The M4 chip in these Macs matches the high-end chip found in some iPad Pro models. No mention of M4 Pro or M4 Max chips has been made yet, but these could be reserved for higher-end models like the MacBook Pro and Mac mini.
Delayed Until Late 2027
Apple’s foldable MacBook likely won’t debut until 2027 or 2028 due to technical challenges, according to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. Earlier reports suggested Apple was developing a foldable laptop with an 18.8-inch or 20.2-inch display, functioning as both a full-screen keyboard when folded and a monitor when unfolded. Kuo recently noted that Apple has canceled the 20-inch design, focusing on the 18.8-inch model instead. While initial plans targeted a 2025 release, ongoing technical issues have delayed the project, keeping it in the prototyping phase.

A recent SellCell survey indicates that a majority of iPhone users plan to upgrade to the iPhone 16 series, with many prioritizing improved thermal design to prevent overheating. The survey, involving 2,000 US iPhone owners, found that 61.9% intend to purchase the new model. Key factors influencing this decision include competitive pricing (30.9%) and better heat management (26.8%). Following overheating issues with the iPhone 15 Pro models, Apple is expected to address this with a new thermal design in the iPhone 16.
The survey also highlights strong interest in Apple Intelligence features, with 82.1% willing to wait for their release. Additionally, 54.9% of respondents favor larger displays, with men showing a greater preference. For those not upgrading, cost (34.2%) and satisfaction with their current phone (34.1%) were the main reasons. Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone 16 lineup next month, possibly on September 10.
