Apple Stock News:

Display analyst Ross Young reports that Apple is receiving display panels for the 14-inch and 16-inch M4 MacBook Pro models, indicating a possible fourth-quarter launch. These models, featuring M4, M4 Pro, and M4 Max chips, are expected to debut by the end of the year. The Mac mini will also be revamped, becoming Apple’s smallest computer.

The M4 chip, built on TSMC’s 3-nanometer process, offers improved performance, efficiency, and a more powerful Neural Engine. While new iPhones and Apple Watches are likely for September, new Macs could arrive in October or November, with further updates expected in 2025.

For the fourth year in a row, Apple Card has been ranked the best co-branded credit card with no annual fee by J.D. Power. Apple announced that the Apple Card, issued by Goldman Sachs, topped J.D. Power’s 2024 U.S. Credit Card Satisfaction Study, which measures factors like Account Management, Customer Service, and New Account Experience.

Introduced in 2019, Apple Card integrates with the iPhone’s Wallet app, allowing real-time spending tracking, transaction categorization, and payment plans. It offers up to three percent Daily Cash, which can be used or saved, and supports shared accounts through Apple Card Family. A Savings account option is also available for automatic Daily Cash deposits.

Spotify announced that Apple has approved showing pricing information in its iOS app for EU users after years of legal disputes. Starting Wednesday, EU iPhone users can see pricing in the app and learn they can purchase directly from Spotify’s website.

Spotify is using Apple’s “entitlement” for music streaming services, following a European Commission ruling that fined Apple €1.8 billion for antitrust violations. However, Spotify has chosen not to provide a direct purchase link to avoid giving Apple a share of off-platform sales. Spotify’s legal battle with Apple began in 2019, with complaints continuing as recently as March over delayed updates.
