Apple Stock News: Apple’s supply chain will start shipping the Vision Pro headset to countries outside the U.S. by mid-June. In a post on social media platform X, Kuo mentioned that the UK, France, Germany, China, Japan, and Singapore will receive shipments this month, with Australia, Canada, and South Korea possibly following. Apple may announce international availability for the Vision Pro at the WWDC keynote on June 10, with a launch expected in the first countries outside the U.S. by the end of July.

The upcoming visionOS 2 update will include more Apple apps optimized for the Vision Pro and address missing features. It may also introduce respiration tracking and Apple Pencil Pro support, according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman.

Foldable iPhone

According to Taiwanese research firm TrendForce, Apple is unlikely to release a foldable iPhone before 2027, but it could significantly disrupt the market upon its launch. Currently, foldable phones represent only 1.5% of the smartphone market, projected to increase to 4.8% by 2028. Apple is still evaluating component specifications, focusing on screen crease and reliability issues.

Despite the popularity of foldable devices from brands like Samsung, Huawei, Motorola, and Nubia, Apple’s late entry might not be a disadvantage due to its strong market influence and customer base. Analysts believe a foldable iPhone could quickly gain popularity and shift market dynamics. Apple is expected to introduce a large-screen foldable iPad or MacBook before launching a foldable iPhone.

Mindfulness App

Apple is developing a “respiration tracking” feature for the Vision Pro headset, likely for use during mindfulness sessions, according to backend code discovered by MacRumors. Contributor Aaron Perris found references to this feature in the code for the headset’s Mindfulness app, which provides guided or self-guided meditation experiences. The app encourages users to focus on their breath to support mental wellbeing, a core aspect of mindfulness practice. The Apple Watch already tracks respiration rate during sleep using its accelerometer, but it’s unclear if the Vision Pro will use similar technology or other sensors. There’s no confirmed release date for this feature, but Apple is expected to announce visionOS 2 at WWDC on June 10.
