Last year, Apple released the second generation of its Watch on September 2016. Apple added GPS, internal upgrades, and water-proofing to the design. Also, the watchOS 3 update increased performance and functionality for not only the new models, but also the original range.
Apple could announce the release of Apple Watch 3 as early as September 2017. Although price is still unknown, the watch could be priced at £369 mark, as its previous releases.
We expect that the Apple Watch 3 will feature a front facing camera that will be used for selfies or FaceTime calls. Another common thought is that Apple will introduce 3G or 4G capabilities to the Watch, in order to make it more independent from the iPhone. With these new features and upgrading the watch to be lighter, faster, and have a longer battery life, Apple hopes to generate interest and stimulate Apple Watch sales.
