Apple Stock News
On Monday, June 27, Apple’s stock (AAPL) closed at $92.07, a decrease of 1.46%. Apple’s stock price began to drop Friday, June 24, following the news that Britons had voted to exit the EU and the downward trend has continued into this week.
The latest from the rumor mill has it that Apple’s iPhone 8 and all iPhones made thereafter starting in 2017 will have wireless charging technology, following suit after Android implemented this technology into some of their products including the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge and the Galaxy Note 4. While Apple’s iPhone 7 is yet to be released, it is not rumored to have wireless charging capabilities. Reportedly, Apple is collaborating with an LG subsidiary, LG Innotek, to produce a faster wireless charger. Additionally, the iPhone 8 is expected to have a 5.8″ OLED screen, which would lead to reduced battery usage, and Apple’s A11 chip.
The Apple Watch is rumored to be getting a display makeover by mid-2017. Supposedly, Apple will be replacing the OLED screens that it currently uses with MicroLED screens for future generations of the Apple Watch, providing a thinner sleeker design and better battery life.
