Apple Stock News
Only days after it came out that California-based tech giant, Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL), would announce new products on March 15th, more rumors are surround upcoming product releases.
An analyst from KGI Securities, a leader in investment banking among other areas, recently sent out a note to clients claiming that consumers can expect two variants on the next generation iPhone Plus. Rumors are spreading about the new camera features on the highest-end variant.
The phone is believed to have a dual-lens camera set-up, which would allow for substantial improvement to image quality as well as other impressive features such as optical zoom. These are, of course, just rumors at this point as Apple has not made any official announcements. However, along with this analyst’s impressive record, some new corroborations coming out have loaned increased credibility to the speculations. First, Sony (NYSE:SNE), a major supplier of camera sensors for Apple, announced that dual-lens cameras will be launching on a grand scale in the next year. Additionally, after the original note from KGI Securities, other reports came out stating that vendors in China and Japan “have sent dual-lens camera samples to Apple for testing.”
For now, these rumors are nothing more than speculation. New products will be revealed on March 15th, and until then we can only wait to hear more directly from the source.
