The highlight of the event was the unveiling of Apple Music, which has been widely rumored for a couple of months. The service will be available on OS X and Windows, and even on Android. The service will allow users to stream all of the music available on iTunes and will also offer human-curated playlists. The service will also include a worldwide radio service that boasts celebrity DJs such as Zane Lowe.
Besides the music streaming service, Apple also announce OS X El Capitan, an update to the PC operating system that focuses on performance upgrades. iOS 9, the mobile operating system, focuses on enhancing current features, such as an improved Siri that is much faster and learns users’ habits. It will also improve the battery life of the devices. Other announcements include the ability to run multiple apps at once on the iPad, the introduction of Apple Pay to the UK in July, and a new operating system for the Apple Watch that will support native apps.
